That's a marvellous line-up and I am really hoping to get there - firstly because I have not been for several years, and secondly because I feel it's the best possible tribute to Trevor Roche to support what he gave so much of his time and energy to.

Never been to a Shuttleworth display, even though the place is only about 30mins from me. It looks a cracking line up too. Clashes with a Duxford event, but might make this my first visit to Shuttleworrth.

For those that have been before, what time do you recommend turning up etc?

Hi,

Its never that busy through the morning just a steady stream of cars and there never seems to be any problems, I usually turn up as the gates open at 9am. Although this show may have a bigger turn out than most due to last weekends event as a show of support (I would assume..).

The flightline walk charge for SVAS members is the same as for non-members. The charge is waived for SVAS Photo Section members, which costs a tenner on top of your usual SVAS membership.

Looks a great list.

No Lysander or Sea Hurricane?

The Sea Hurricane was still without its Merlin on the 1st July, infact it was like that on the 19th May so assume its out of action till the problems solved.

Weather seems to be good for this event: http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2656046

I'll be there, the first time for the year, most unusual!

Thank you for that - I've just worked out my mistake! The problem with these senior events is that they are getting to be more frequent!

I think I'll still go to Old Warden; haven't been all year and I'm missing the joint.

All the best

Why is the Avro Triplane listed twice? Should the first one really read 'Avro 504K'?

Maybe because it's flying twice? The first slot's obviously an Avro formation, the second slot's the Edwardian segment of the show. The 504k hasn't got a working engine yet.

Just got back from a very pleasant afternoon at Old Warden. A shame that the show was curtailed by 20 minutes by the weather at the end, but a very good air display; most enjoyable.

Did they fly both Ansons in formation? If not, surely a golden opportunity was lost?

Why assume the negative? The Ansons did fly together.

Because I have only seen pics of them individually up to know! Not assuming the negative at all!
