The program has been posted on the Shuttleworth Collection website for the flying evening on Saturday 6th July.

Gates open 12 noon Flying starts 6.15pm

Bristol F2b Fighter
Sopwith Triplane
SE5a Fighter
Sopwith Pup
Avro Triplane

Blackburn Monoplane Type - D
Bristol Boxkite

I will have to miss this one... early to bed that evening, or I won't be able to get up at the unholy hour required next morning, to make the trip to Waddington. Shame, I'd like to see the Yak and Fury flying... up-close in Old Warden style. And I bet this will be the one day that the BBMF Spitfire does its thing in nice weather :-P

Eh, well. It looks like the weather might be good for this weekend's Military Pageant, and it's a cracking good line-up for that.

Have TFC been to Old Warden recently? I saw a pic of the Wildcat there but obviously that was many years ago. Just seems odd that they are based just around the corner from OW and the Shuttleworth Collection always send a/c to Duxford...

Andreasson BA4B?! I haven't seen one of those in ages! One used to be on the circuit and pitch up at virtually every show in the '70s....

Dan, I believe it will be the RNHF T.20 as the Swordfish (I believe) had been originally pencilled in.

Little cloud cover so nice evening light behind the spectators, looks great, but at the moment most forecasts seem to show the wind a bit on the high side for the oldest planes.
Still, promises some really exceptional photo opportunities so let's hope for the best.

So confident in the weather that advanced tickets are booked. A shuttleworth evening show with good calm weather, a decent picnic, the kids off in the playground, the sounds of Merlins in the air, this is what Summer is meant to be about..cant wait

Nice to have a bit of variety. They've flown it at every other show this year so far, often twice to fill in gaps caused by weather-related cancellations. They even took it to Duxford. It will be nice to see something else in the air for a change, like the ANEC, Cygnet and rarely-seen Wren (weather permitting)

I've not been to OW so far this year. I'd always want to see the Lysander though, it's the best aircraft in the collection IMO. Hind and Demon are surprising omissions too.

Again, I think I'm right in saying that the Hind has flown in all 6 shows so far this year, and the Demon in 3 or 4. They have far more aircraft than they can fly each show, so it makes sense to mix things up a bit. Things like the Wren only fly once or twice a season generally, and even then they're much more weather-dependent than the likes of the Hind and Lysander.

Hind & Demon will also be at Legends, Dan, which I assume you will go to?

Thinking of rarely-flown aircraft, when did the DH51 last fly!?

The last photo in my Flickr account is this one from Shuttleworth Uncovered Sept 2011.

I am quite likely to be at Legends, but that's not really the point. I've seen them all before anyway - it's just that the list looks quite small, and I'm surprised that these aircraft are omitted as they are what I consider to be the biggest draw for Old Warden. Other bits and pieces are nice in addition, but I'd be wanting to see the Lysander, Sea Hurricane, Hind, Gladiator and possibly the Demon at any OW event I attend, personally.

Sorry, I should have added that I don't disagree with you! The aforementioned 'heavies', in addition to the Edwardians, are in my view the star attractions but I think the general point is that they won't be flying at all 15 or so Shuttleworth shows in a year and particularly the evening shows which are much slower-paced and shorter than full flying days.

Excellent weather here at the moment with hardly a breath of wind and a tad warm.

The Lysander and Hind are out on the flight line.

Too late, should have had them on the website list. Made a decision for Waddo tomorrow instead.

Just got home from an excellent evenings flying and the highlight, apart from a 103 year old aeroplane flying and a 104 year old aeroplane trundling up and down the runway, was Chris Götke in the T20 Sea Fury. Some of the best top side and lowest passes I've seen around the dogleg.

The Lysander and Hind were on the line as a contingency if conditions hadn't been good enough for the Edwardians.

What a splendid show it was, thanks to all whose efforts made it so good.

Agreed, the weather really did bring people out in their droves for the second week running. Great to see all the Edwardians up and as Brian said, the Sea Fury was absolutely fantastic - every pass I think was low, fast and top-side!

Anyone have any details as to why the Spitfire was scrubbed at the last minute?

Apart from that, a really great show
