A Classic Evening Airshow - September

The flying display includes a selection of our historic aircraft such as our Tiger Moth, Hawker Hind and Miles Magister, and features visiting aircraft including ‘Little and Large’, the ‘Chang Gang’ and aerobatics by a Bücker Jungmeister. Shame to loose the Hind and Gladiator, nanchang pair seem to have gone as well.

Hopefully the Nimrod will make it across and the Edwardians can fly, should be good evenings flying with any luck.

Would expect the collection to put some other un-listed aircraft out - they often do.

Can't see the attendance being too high following the last show's brilliance to be honest. Looking forward to it though!

Eh, the flying program on the day often isn't exactly like they planned - and the show isn't any the worse for it. But the loss of visitors is unfortunate.

I can't make it this weekend anyway, so it's even more unfortunate (for me) :-/

Exactly! Saw a reply from the collection about the losses saying they will be having additions on the day so adds a bit of mystery which is always nice.

Haven't done an evening display in a few years, recent comet display aside!

Here's to a good show

Excellent show in the end with the weather clearing up just enough to get everything in.

Usual excellent Old Warden flying, nice surprise to see the Tomtit in the barnstorming section. Not an aeroplane I expected to see flying under the Limbo poles!

Thought the Bucker displays were both stunning as well.

Good evenings flying, especially given the conditions.

Thanks, I was wondering how it went.

Barnstorming Tomtit?! Blimey.

No Nimrod, not surprised though as visibility was awful, only just flyable when the display began.

I had planned to go to this one, but it became clear that the forecast was wrong, ie much better than the real thing so I turned back.

Better luck next month.
