Aircraft Listings:
Re: Shuttleworth Season Finale 5th October
I hope the weather's good for that... I like the sound of that line up...
I'd especially like to see the whizzy little Cosmic Wind flying up close, Old Warden-style... and the Vampire...

No Demon or F.2B. Disappointing. I'll still be there though.

Mustang should be Jumpin' Jacques from the Hangar 11 Collection.

Potentially a major season highlight if everything falls into place. Fingers-crossed!

To my utter shame, I have not made it to Shuttleworth this year, so must make the effort

Re: Shuttleworth Season Finale 5th October
Have never done a Shuttleworth show before so I'm hoping to make this my first.
Re: Shuttleworth Season Finale 5th October
Might try and get to this, have never been to one of these with my own camera..

Re: Shuttleworth Season Finale 5th October
To be honest its not ticking the boxes like the September Pageant did for me, but I hope it all goes well on the day for whoever attends.
Re: Shuttleworth Season Finale 5th October
Anyone know how long the flying is likely to be?
And how are the crowds usually for this last airshow of the season?
Thanks!

Flying is scheduled to start at 2:00pm and I guess they expect to be finished soon after 5:00pm given:
Shuttleworth web site wrote:A Shuttle Bus will be departing from Biggleswade train station at approximately 11.30am, the return journey will leave Shuttleworth at 5.30pm from the main gate in front of the visitor centre."
However, if the weather looks like it will become calm enough for the Comet or the Edwardians to fly, they may delay the ending for quite some time after that.
As for crowds, who knows? I don't think the last show of the season is typically more crowded (I don't think it's ever what you'd call "crowded" in the way you would for other airshows. It's rather more civilised)... but I guess it might be busier than usual if it looks like the Comet could fly ie. almost no wind, and blowing from WSW.

Re: Shuttleworth Season Finale 5th October
If the weather is nice I'm very tempted to pop my Shuttleworth cherry next weekend...
Re: Shuttleworth Season Finale 5th October
I went to to the October show in 2012, and it was no more or less crowded then at any other flying day that I've attended.

I'm sure it was the 2012 October show that was near 30 degrees C or so, The hottest October day ever recorded I believe (More than happy to settle for anywhere near 20 degrees this year

2 Mew Gulls will be amazing! Haven't seen the collection's example fly in a long while and I haven't seen the "new" one fly at all.
Once again they seem to have put together an excellent line up, nice to see Peter Teichman making his first, I think, Old Warden appearance this year?

Don't recall that it was that hot. Plenty of sunshine though!

I will be there. The August show was amazing, quite unlike any airshow I've ever been to before!

Re: Shuttleworth Season Finale 5th October
Weather isn't looking too bad now, 8 to 10mph winds should allow most things to fly too.

You have a different BBC forecast to me, light cloud, no sun and 15 degrees showing for Biggleswade presently for me?

Are you sure that isn't today's forecast you are looking at? Rather summery today
