We went on the Saturday the 'better day',and I thought the Crusader just edged it from the Tornado F3 & Lightning, maybe it was because I had never seen a Crusader display before, but it was a pretty slick performance...it was an ace show anyway, wasnt they all them tattoos?
I thought with a bit more clear blue it would have been one of the best Tattoos of em all...

that Starlifter looks beautiful, not often you could say that about the type! that was the first IAT that I went to on both days, the French Crusader was awesome on the Saturday, and I remember as King Hussein of Jordan arrived Sunday in his Tristar the rain was rather, well you guessed it, heavy! there were a few memorable items in the static, not least the New Mexico ANG A-7D's and the lovely Belgian Mirage V, also I think 23rdTFW A-10's with the shark mouth? my memory fades a bit, must dig out my photos

My very first IAT. Lovely to see what I missed whilst dozing in my pushchair.

You're spoiling us Derek, another quality update from 30 years ago. More concerning is that it's nearly 10 years since your first selection was posted!

Great memories. Was a tad moist at times. :) IIRC the tarmac in some of the areas was a bit suspect as my 92 Sqd mates said their F-4, amongst others, started sinking in.
