Buckeye Bye Bye

Buckeye Bye Bye

Postby FERG on Sat 09 Nov 2013, 5:34 pm

Evening

In March 2004 VT-9 "Tigers", home based at NAS Meridan, sent their T-2C's down to NAS Key West for what was the units final major training detachment with the venerable Buckeye. The aircraft were retired from the Intermediate Strike training role later that summer.

I spent 3 wonderful days with the IP's and Students and these are just a few of the images I captured:

Very nice!

Wondering if many or any Buckeye's have been finding their way into civilian hands as have T-28's or T-34's for instance?

Very nice selection of images. "Gentlemen, In case you're wondering which is the best", I'm drawn back to number 4 . Which then leads me to note the 'Tiger' paw-prints which I assume are unique to the "XO" (Exec' Officers) jet ?
