VX-4 Test Squadron "The Evaluators"

Post by bigcrow »

A slide scan I did over the weekend which maybe of interest?

Flypast from VX-4 test squadron "The Evaluators" being led by there flagship at the time there stunning gloss black Phantom 'Vandy 1'. The squadron based at NAS Point Mugu where this image was taken used the Playboy bunny as their emblem, this F-4S Bu No:158360 was known as the "Black Bunny" and had the large Playboy bunny on the tail. It ended up stored at NAS Fallon, but not noted since 2006, so has probably been scrapped? Somehow the Hornet looks a little out of place, with these classics...
