Bring on the Marines

Bring on the Marines

Portsmouth in the mid 1980s. I think this is USS Saipan (might well be wrong) plus one from the US Navy, USS Nimitz around the same era. Not the greatest copies or more accurately not the greatest originals but I thought quite interesting.

Remember these well , but you are a bit out on the Marines A/C  They were on USS Guadalcanal in Southampton in October 1975 Not sure of the CH-53D though , My records show they were coded 30-36 do you have any more shots of the '53s

USS Nimitz was Stokes Bay during September 1980

Hope this helps

Cheers
