IAT Arrivals 1991+1993

Post by planenuts »

Hi chaps,

Promised myself I would never post photos from an IAT (now RIAT of course), as there are so many on here already, even out of season.
But here we are.....it will only be older ones, purely 1990s, and no statics. All slightly out of focus (no scanner, just photos of photos), but quality subjects.

No captions for once, just the images........I'm sure you all know what they are anyway !!

1991 first.

It must've been unreal to see MiG-21s landing in the UK

All of the Eastern Bloc stuff. Its was all the stuff of legend, then we got into this era seemingly overnight, where this bonanza of the rare and rarer appeared. Each show brought more. Its still amazing to look back on now.

Thanks for posting planenuts, and sharing the view from the end of the runway. We can never, ever, have too many photographs from old IATs, especially in the early 90's.
