Marvellous stuff, oh how Binbrook looks now....

PS A quick anecdote/memory, as a young LAC Radar Operator in October 1978 I was on a short touring detachment to Binbrook then Coningsby while Boulmer's main radar heads were down for annual servicing. We were invited into the 11 Squadron pilots' crew room. My image of RAF Officers, Lightning pilot wise, quickly changed, no cut glass accents and the first chap in from landing, dumped his stuff then put half a jar of peanut butter between two doorstep slices of bread 'I've been airborne for two hours on and off the tanker, so I'm a bit 'ungry' was his first comment!

I have danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings!
