When a neighbour knocked on the door and asked if I wanted to go to an airshow at Duxford with him "not sure what to expect...theres no jets", I said ok. Taking my Minolta camera with a single role of 36 shot film I went with no expectations. What I got was new types of warbird I had never seen before, and in numbers that I wouldn't have expected. Was allowed out onto the taxi way to see the parked aircraft for the first time, which seemed a privilege and special at the time and I was hooked. little did I know that 26 years later I would still be making the pilgrimage to Duxford every year for the show.
This is all that I have of that show, scanned from photos

First of the Legends 1993
Re: First of the Legends 1993
Great stuff - thanks for sharing!
My first Legends was 2002, so I'd be thrilled to see photos from any of the '90s shows.

Thanks for that. I enjoy looking at the history of the various operators and the aeroplanes that have come and gone or are still around all these years later...

Re: First of the Legends 1993
Excellent post, something about scanned prints as opposed to digital photos that seem appropriate to Duxford warbirds.
Thanks for sharing.
