Chinook Sunday 09/11/08

Post by Spock »

Chinook just passed over Doncaster heading south 14.40hrs.

Unusual to hear or see these passing outside airshow season on a Sunday??

Anyone know where it might have been, assuming it's hearding home to base at the moment.

Could be the one that overflew Murrayfield last night to mark the end of the minute's silence at the Scotland/New Zealand rugby match?

We saw it leaving Edinburgh following the bypass at about 11:30 this morning so I guess it could have been.

Callsign was VORTEX 444, decended from 4000' due to icing conditions.
Info via my mate on another forum.
