Good Evening Gents (and Ladies),
As I’m new to the forum, I wonder if anyone could help me with the following sighting. This afternoon around 15.00 onwards, an RAF Training liveried Strikemaster or Jet Provost (with wingtip tanks) was circling over Cookridge, Leeds, and then half an hour later “performing” two very tight circling turns over Headingley/Kirkstall. Could it be this example http://users.telenet.be/fvh/lbaspotter/basedlba.htm . The last time I saw something like this was the BBMF Dakota performing over Headingley for some end of term do at the Leeds Metropolitan University Carnegie Faculty near to where live.
Thanks for any Gen.

Just had an e-mail from one of the pilots of the fleet at Church Fenton, says it couldn't have been thiers as all the fleet are being serviced at the moment so are grounded.

Sorry if i misinformed you.

The aircraft in question would have been XM479 / G-BVEZ a Jet Provost T3:
Based in newcastle, it was attending an event, ironicaly at RAF Church Fenton!!
Hope that helps,
Andy

Gets around that little Jet! Makes a heck of a racket coming into Land!
Owned by the owner of the NCL Aero club i think! He did have another Provost Airframe on the back of a trailer in the old Gill Airways Hanger a few years back! Not sure where it is now as the Hanger has since been Demolished

We do get around dont we! (see you tube) - Just to confirm the aircraft is not owned by the aero club (see G-INFO) and the other JP airframes are owned by the Newcastle Aviation Academy, now in the new hanger build for them on the south side.
