I think the Apache was calling "Panther 81", I don't think the Tiger Moth landed ,it was just on a navex from Eaglescott , it is doing the same routing from/to Eaglescott via Chivenor today . Also around/in Chivenor yesterday was a Chinook "Vortex 741" & SK Junglie "Y 42" , I think they are both correct call-signs , although I might have the "41/42" bits transposed . There was also a Dauphin which overflew South to North .

I've put this post through the Boff180 translation matrix:-

Subject:- Visitors at Chivenor
Body:-
Hello All,
Recently, Chivenor has been visited by an Apache whose callsign was "Papa 81" and a Tiger Moth whose serial number was G-AHVV.
I would be grateful if someone could confirm what the serial number of the Apache was please.
Many Thanks

I think you had better re-read your post boff180 , What's "visted" mean ? :dummy:
Also , UK civilian aircraft carry registrations not serials , unless they are painted in a military colour scheme .

Not forgetting that G-AHVV is a registration and not a serial. :hide:

Apache AH.1 was ZJ212, regret unable identify the Sea King HC.4 or the Merlin that flew around in the afternoon.
