Thanks for that, i heard that viper over Stroud, very very loud, wondered what it was because of the low cloud.

Just spotted a Virgin Atlantic 747 (Reg G-VBIG) flying over at 19,000ft with it's landing gear down.
On FR24, it's showing as departed from LGW destination unknown.
Currently holding at 19,000ft off the coast of northern France.

History track on FR24 doesn't show any holding at all. It's currently descending in to Hamburg.

Having re-read my last sentence, it should have read “maintaining” a height of 19,000ft.
And yes it landed at Hamburg.

A Ravenair Partenavia P68B G-RVNP is currently doing some sort of aerial survey work over North East Edinburgh. I can hear it but I cannot see it!

Unless I'm mistaken they arrived yesterday.
And again unless I'm mistaken I think there are now 2x C-17s there , along with VIP(?) aircraft from other Countries including a Saudi 747.
Not sure if there's also at least one USAF SAM aircraft there ( heard one routing over today , but didn't catch whether it was inbound or outbound the UK , or possibly just an overflight )

Haven't checked , but I'd assume they've been mentioned on FC .... some ( the E-4 & C-17s ) were mentioned on the Milscanners newsgroup.

Don't know about FR24 , but the E-4 and C-17s which were at Stansted have now departed.
The E-4 ( showing as 'OSD01' ) & C-17s ( RCH354 & 355 ) are showing on ADS-B Exchange.

Forgot to say.....
They're out over the North Sea , routing towards Norway.
