9/3/09 - 3/4/09 Tactical Leadership Programme (TLP) 09-2
LFAs 5,6,12,16 and 17
TLP 09-2 is a medium-scale, multi-national training exercise conducted over East Anglia and the Wash and Southern North Sea. Embedded within is a Long Range Mission, which extends through the Southern Managed Danger Area (SMDA) and north-east England, including Spadeadam Electronic Warfare and Training Range. The Exercise will involve up to 30 mixed fast jet aircraft and helicopters, operating in formation packages, supported by AAR and Electronic Warfare assets.

23/3/09 - 27/3/09 Exercise COBRA STRIKE
LFAs 11 and 17
Exercise COBRA STRIKE is a small-scale rotary-wing exercise involving up to 9 helicopters of various types.

30/3/09 - 3/4/09 Exercise HELMAND RIFLES
LFA 5
Exercise HELMAND RIFLES is pre-deployment training for 19 Light Brigade, to exercise Close Air Support procedures with both fast-jets and helicopters by both day and night. The exercise is based around the STANTA training area.

6/4/09 - 10/4/09 Exercise HAWSERS LINK
LFAs 5, 10 and 11
Exercise HAWSERS LINK is a combined Royal Navy and Joint Helicopter Command (JHC) exercise involving up to 10 helicopters, taking place in East Anglia by day and night. The main exercise area is from RAF Marham to Cromer, and also off-shore. Royal Navy Sea King and Lynx helicopters will operate in conjunction with JHC Chinooks.

6/4/09 - 17/4/09 Exercise FAST MOVER 09-1
LFAS 4 and 7
Exercise FAST MOVER is Close Air Support activity to provide Forward Air Control training for ground forces. This exercise will take place in the Malverns and South Wales, and participating aircraft include Harrier GR7/9; Tornado GR4; Hawk; USAF F-15E and Dutch F-16.
