NOTAM up ( corrected to BST ) :

B) FROM: 18/06/19 08:50
C) TO: 18/06/19 18:00
E) FAIRFORD MIL ATZ ACTIVE, AD. RWY 09/27 OPEN.

First I knew was listening to the scanner and hearing DRAGON calling them.

Don't know if it's just for a U-2 turn-around ( B-1s still grounded, as far as I know )

Thought it was a long NOTAM for just a U-2 changeover.
Grounding order lifted, then, or just an exemption to allow their RTB?

And that'll upset those who thought they'd still be there for RIAT.

Rather confusing now...
No mention on the Fairford Movements site of the U-2s.
Post on Milscanners has it that 3 B-1s recently departed en-route Lands End.....not mentioned on the Fairford Movements site & nowt heard from my location.

The Fairford Movements site has it that a C-17 arrived at 08:40 & departed 10:01( nowt herd from my location, not showing on any of the tracking sites such as ADS-B Exchange )
No mention on there of the U-2s, though.

The site hasn't been updated today yet, check the date for the C-17!

Delayed posting due to being too busy getting the next batch of home brew started

After departing Fairford, DRAGON 21's been lurking around ( mostly around FL500 ) for some time now.
Comms on 252.875 are that he's working on a technical issue and looks to be returning to Fairford if he can't get it sorted.

Edited to add....now reporting the problem appears to be fixed & proceding en-route.
Now looking at the most direct routing, possibly via Stornoway ( which conflicts with reports on Milscanners that it's Southbound )....climbing to FL600 & currently routing via Machrihanish.

And whilst not Fairford, currently have QUID 363 ( KC-135 ) reporting as being inbound Brize Norton.

Edited to add....think he must have screwed-up saying he's inbound Brize, now reporting that he's routing via Brize then MAM
