Hi everyone,
Just noted on the BBC that today is the 50th anniversary since Donald Campbell's death on Lake Coniston in the Lake District trying to break the world speed record on water, and as such an RAF fighter will fly down the lake 'low level' in salute when his wife lays a wreath on the spot he died later.
Anyone know a time for this?
Cheers
Dave

Link off the BBC article says :
So it's been and gone.
08.49 - A fly past for Donald over Coniston Water by an RAF fast jet, flying from south to north (subject to weather and operational commitments)
So it's been and gone.

wonder what it was? 617 tried to salute with a 3 ship apparently when his body was raised but the cloud base was too low.
Hope someone managed it this time.
