Post by stevebrodie »

Busy couple of says at newquay while on holiday. Bae 146(?) flying circuits late yesterday evening (overall grey) lots of bumps and sensors and what seemed like two pods at rear. A400 this morning and s further 146 in royal flight colours (?) and at 15:15 an AWACS !! Seen climbing out heading up to Exeter. Any tie ups would be great, post photos when home next week. Grey 146 was Ze708

Last night's 146 was ZE708, today's was ZE701. Your Atlas this morning was ZM408 and your E-3A is LX-N90459, currently bashing the circuit.

There were photos on the Cornwall Aviation Heritage Facebook page the other day of the A400M, E-3 and RC-135.

I was also on a family holiday last week at Watergate Bay, so right under the approach & was amazed how busy it was.

The RAF RC-135 was ZZ664. Also a French Air Force KC-135FR was noted doing circuits for over an hour last Friday afternoon, which was rather frustrating seeing as I didn't have my camera with me.

Ah Watergate bay, fantastic beach , great food, beach, Sun and military aircraft, what more could you wish for!. Got a couple of shots of the A400m on finals (need to sort out) coming in over the sea / beach.
