It has been confirmed by ARCo that NOTHING fell off the Lanc during take-off or it's flight.
They have studied videos of the take-off, and it was in fact a crow, that dived at the same point as lift off.

Thanks for the information - I did wonder why flight tests were continuing with a bit missing?

Was great seeing the Lancaster again today at Yeovilton, was convinced it wouldn't appear given the first flight was less than a week ago but as it approached with Spitfire escort everyone stood up and applauded

It flew over Northamptonshire en route back to Coningsby today with what looked like a photo ship flying nice and close alongside. Maybe some air to air photos to come?
