4 x Boeing Stearman

Post by starbuck »

saw 4 in formation heading roughly north west through Kent yesterday and seen again today presumably going home in the opposite direction. All looked very smart in various US training schemes, any ideas where they had been?

They flew over me (about 2 miles from Duxford) at low level just before 1ish. Presume they had taen off from DX, but don't know why they're about.

I believe they visited Duxford at the weekend. They had foreign registrations so I assume just a weekend away.

Had them over Chelmsford heading south earlier.

They were at Duxford yesterday for Jurgen Kraus' DA. He usually brings a white Harvard so it was nice to see this gaggle of Stearman at Duxford!

I went running out of my house to see what it was and caught a glimpse of 1 as it went over the houses. Assumed it would be the Stampes from Headcorn, but they were too loud. At least I know what they were now
