Getting ready for tomorrow's final flypasts from Odiham. There is rumour of a special scheme planned as well. :ninja:

Think they're arriving at Middle Wallop (Museum of Army Flying) shortly after 9.00am for photos before departing.

Also, teased photos of the scheme:

Possibly them showing on ADS-B Exchange, East of Basingstoke, callsign VALHALLA ?

Edited to add.....if so, they're about 30 minutes behind the NOTAMed schedule.

I've read they'll be skirting close to the Southern edge of Cannock Chase as a navaid

Outbound presumably, as Cannock Chase is on a straight line between Shawbury and Tilton...

Just returned from a very cold Middle Wallop, nice to see the AAC put on a mini photo shoot, with the group showing off in front of the photographers before disappearing.

Thanks to all who provided extra info about the event, is this type of event worthy of a separate topic page where people can share information?

Regards Mick

Yeh, there's a regular route around here for choppers tootling in/out of Stafford can be quite impressive. Trouble is I'm in Burton today.. May just nip down the A38- National Memorial might do it..

Shawbury was 250ft or higher, quite sedate, nothing to shout about arrival well too high for a 300mm with 1.4 converter on.

Shame really

Didn't hear them working Cardiff or St Athan, so presumably they chinned off that leg due to the grotty weather ?
