I bought the big white book; they are selling them tomorrow; please don't take this as a recommendation it just looked nice!
looking forward immensely to the big event
PS some miserable bugger stole the England flag off my bicycle while it was parked! don't you have Poundland where you come from?
at least I have a spare
Cool, shame I couldn't make it.
What's the big white book? Curious.com.
A sumptuous hardback for £20 with the complete history, mainly lots of stories but worth the extra £10 over the flimsy programme. They also had them in red and blue, were selling them next to the RAFA tent in the Mall today;
I managed to get right by the E end of the memorial roundabout with a clear view down the Mall and beyond (ok it's not anymore) fantastic atmosphere and the sense of anticipation as the lights of each phase approached was electric; much more so than Heathrow 50 in 1996 (when I was standing on a mound which is now T5)
absolutely unmissable! hardly up close and personal and probably not that photogenic but what an occasion, I've been singing the March Past all day!
