Very low C-130 over East Herts (not on approach to STN)

Had a Hercules come down my road in the Ware/Hertford area very low about 1820 this evening. Bit low to be on the run into Stansted and didn't bank round, and seemed to be heading south straight for London. A lovely sight (wish I'd had my camera with me) although I'm curious as to what it was doing. Any suggestions?

It had no problems with traffic lights,road signs and lamp posts then?,or do you live on a very wide road? :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:
