Lakenheath exercise

Post by Brevet Cable »

Link posted on the Milscanners newsgroup yesterday :
http://www.eadt.co.uk/news/raf-lakenheath-readiness-exercise-october-2018-1-5716588
RAF Lakenheath Tweeted that its 48th Fighter Wing would be carrying out “increased flying sorties” between Monday, October 1 and Wednesday, October 3 as part of training exercise to ensure its air and ground teams are a “ready and capable force”.
(snip)
A statement from the airbase said that “communities in East Anglia and the surrounding regions may see and hear US aircraft taking off, landing and transiting between RAF Lakenheath and training ranges over the North Sea several times between sunset and sunrise”.

Unfortunately, the Milscanners newsgroup have had an ongoing issue where some E-mails are sometimes not received until long after they were posted ( and sometimes not at all )
The E-mail about this was apparently sent yesterday morning ( from the timestamp on it ) but unfortunately I didn't receive it until early hours of this morning.

Just arrived. Nothing happening at the moment, scanner is completely silent. No ground crew at the 24 end either. Are they on 06?
