World War 1 GB - Fokker D VII ++FINISHED++

Right well, onwards and upwards! :grin:

Another German kite and another from Revell...

However, if you think I am going to paint this lozenge, you've got another thing coming...

Image

I am going to cheat and make this plane up without lozenge, it will be the mount of another German fighter ace. He went on to, not so great things, but possibly is as famous/infamous as Manfred Von Richtofen?

But first, this kit needs some cleaning up.....

I have two of this kit, one Revell and the other is the original. I originally planned to Goring's mount as his was all white and thus I too would have wriggled out of painting the lozenge. :smile:

(I then got a sheet of lozenge decal for the other one). I have hopes that I may get them made one day.

Oh.............hell, it is Hermann Göring's a/c I am doing. :whistle:

Cimmerian gets the cookie for the right answer. :clap: Sorry if this messes up your plans for your build mate.

I have wanted to make a model kit in a day for a while now and hoped this would be it.

I am declaring it finished as I have ended up with a nice clean looking build of Göring's Fokker D VII. At the start of this build, I nearly declared this kit as my new favourite WW1 kit, but later, problems with differing lengths of strutt made the build more complicated than the Fokker Dr.1

But, although completed, I want to try to highlight the ribbing on the wings and dirty the machine a little. So I need your help. I think pastels
are the way forward, but how and what colours? The white was achieved with Appliance Gloss white from Halfords so it has been left in a gloss state to try out
the weathering you might suggest. :smile:

Cheers

I'm currently looking at what schemes I could do for my D VII but they all require the lozenge. You don't by any chance still have the decals do you? The only scheme that i've come across so far that doesn't require it, is the one you've made! :lol:

Oh and the Nieuport N.28 has no decals in it :mad:

I don't think i'm supposed to build anything for this GB :lol:
