WW2 Allies GB - 1/72 BBMF Spitfire IX - DONE!
Hi all,
Well i was gonna wait for a while but decided i need to start this one now! After the failure on the Tomcat, i will be trying my hardest to get this one finished. Or is this my only GB for this period?
As this comes as part of a set, this is my build number 5 from the set, here is the sprues out the bag shot.
The eagle eyes will have noticed the lack of a prop for this one, was used on this MkV.
This is build number 5 for this set.
Arabest,
Geoff

Re: WW2 Allies GB - 1/72 BBMF Spitfire IX
Hi again!
Seen as someone else said it, its another case of the summer got in the way!!!
2 days after this thread started, me and my family were in Ireland visiting my sister and my first niece. Then it was over to Wales for a short break and Blackpool for a nightstop. Then it was back to work for 6 days, weekend at RIAT, then another 5 day stint at work brings me to today and some progress!
The fuselage as joined the other day! Not nice!!!
A bit of a fettle and brought together.
Wings join in with a Aeroclub metal prop.
Since that was done, the inside bits and bobs have been painted ready to be fitted.
Arabest,
Geoff.

Hi all,
Well its painted but not fully sure its the correct colours. Ive used Hu 106 Ocean Grey and as i dont like the tin of Hu 30, Hu 117 US Light Green. Just a few bits to tidy up, especially the stripes!
Should be finished by next weekend!

Hello all,
I had hoped to be finished this by now but have had to get me Rover through its MOT and have renewed a childhood liking for "Biggles!" Well the Rovers done and the New Adventures of Biggles can be seen on Pprune!!!
But wait! Theres something else in the piccie!
Yes! The tails done on the Tomcat! Also started are BoBMF build 6 and 7 from the new Airfix PR19 and MPMs(i think) PR19. Doing a swap over of markings with these so look out for them finished!
Anyway, closer inspection of a decalled MK356.
Off tomorrow but too busy and lots of OT at work mean its nearly 2 weeks for the next update!
