T & T GB 1:72 Revell Handley Page Victor - Finished

Post by Deacon »

Well I thought I would post a couple of pictures of the kit I keep moaning about as a start to a WIP.

The pilot seats are replacements from Aeroclub.

Ah so you have been busy on this one as well! nice start. The matchbox kit was a bit hit or miss on fit but with patience it will build up nicely. What markings are you going for? early camo or gulf war type markings?

I didn't realise it was a matchbox kit prior to being Revell!!

I am going for the Cosford aircraft (Gulf War) as it is only 45 mins from my house.

I have to say though Ian that I have spent a lot of time on this one already and I really just want to get it on the GB as fast as I can.

Well you've already made a better job of it than I did! Looks good, especially those seats!

I currently have a copy on my ceiling that I am restoring, that, rumour has it, was originally a gift from Matchbox to the CO of 57 Sqn RAF.

Hi alan
She is shaping up nicely, I note you have masked off the nose glass, you didn't have to thats painted over on the mk2s Still has that majestic shape though keep her going.

Actually mate the nose glass isn't in yet, haven't got around to putting the weight in the nose. I was going to pack it as part of the next stage and then put the glass on.

I'm obviously going to the wrong guy for my advice .

Thanks for the pics Ian.

OK, a bit of a non entity this photo, but it shows I have sprayed the underneath now.

I won't be putting the buddy pods on as the 'Maid Marion' doesn't have them on now.(sounds a bit rude that  )

It's finished :yahoo: Well, except some lights that need painting on which you won't probably see anyway.

Here are probably the last photos of this build on this WIP.

Thanks to everyone who encouraged me along this build as it was destined for the bin at one stage. Thanks to Ian for the loads of photos he provided during this build.

Yep, they are coming through fine here buddy! And what a kit! In such a short space of time (ish)!

Do you want to take over my AC-130U, it'll get done faster that way!

Seriously, that is superb!
