I've looked at this kits few times, but 1:48 is not my scale.

Will be watching this one with interest. :snack:

I did start some of the inside painting before the start date as I was waiting for my pre-GB Nieuport to dry. I never really feel as if I'm making any progress until I have something stuck inside the fuselage, so this morning I done this.

Oh, how I laughed when the seat assembly converted back to it's seperate parts due to the extreme pressure of the 000 brush I was using, it was better the second time round though.

Edit - put in second picture that I missed before.

Good work on the details for the insides. This one looks like a bullet with a prop. Neat looking aircraft though.

Thanks, Guys.

I was kind of hoping that my 500th post would be kind of interesting but all I have to offer is a couple more pictures of strange shaped pieces of plastic stuck together.

Nice to see that the interior detail shows up really well now that the fuselage is together.

If you get tempted by this kit make sure you drill the locating holes for the interplane struts and the undercarriage before you join the fuselage together. There are little marks to show you where to put the holes. Just for a change I actually noticed this before I done any work to the model. Not sure why they didn't put the holes in themselves like normal but I feel this could be an issue if you do it afterwards.

This morning I crossed the major hurdle (for me and Albatros' anyway.) Got the undercarriage on before work, in that nice silence you get before anyone else wakes up and you can swear as much as you want.

Tonight I can drill it out for the rigging and put the top wing on.

I was looking at your previous post and I have to say that the fuselage, lower wing and tail have come together really tidy.

Well done sir, steady with that drill!

So back from holiday and after a couple of days recovery back to the Albi. All going well until the usual Albatros luck strikes again and the top wing turns to disaster. I've had to raid another kit and steal the entire top wing and struts. All is well once more and the top wing should go on tonight then the rigggery can begin.

You want an update?

Frustration is setting in, the top wing is pretty convinced it doesn't want to attach to the airframe.

Stepped back for a moment until the "I'll get the hammer" mood has passed. Normal service will resume as soon as possible.

How about the Fokker?

I mean the DR.1 not what you currently think about the D.V!

That Fokker is coming on slowly, messing about with little inside bits at the moment. The ones that you can't see once you put the fuselage together.
