Airfix GB - F-51D ++FINISHED++

Post by Deacon »

OK, this build is to build up the mojo again.

I saw this kit in my local hobby shop so had to get three. :whistle:

I will be finishing this as a Dominican aircraft, just to be slightly different.

Cheers

I'm looking forward to seeing this come together. I've got a couple of Dominican Mustangs in the stash but they're both bare metal. I quite like the look of the camo ones :up:

Coming along nicely Alan are those seat straps made of tamiya tape.

Dominican F-51's had matt whit undersides, so I ferreted around for my tin of Halfords Gloss Appliance White.

Here is the result.....

If only I had the 'sand' colour I would be tempted to get the top coat on, but I need to pick up a pot in Brum tomorrow.

Looking good Alan. The detail does look superb especially for a 1/72.

Thanks Scott.

Well, I've had a good day today, hobby wise, so here is the camo with the masking removed....

Next is to tidy up some of the edges and any where the paint seeped etc.
