That looks immense mate!

Been following this build with interest. Will hopefully spur me back on to building after a year + break.

Are you going to weather her slightly?

Thanks guys.

She will get a panel wash on the wings and there will be the tell tale exhuast stains.

I have to say now that my build 'looks' like a Lincoln. But to the trained eye there will be things missing
or shouldn't be there. Also, after 5 years since picking up the hobby I still struggle to fill seems etc. I just never achieve the quality results I see on here time and again.

But, I hope tonight that the build will join my others and that anyone looking in the cabinet will coment "I see you've got a Lincoln" and that is what I am after. The build represents the aircraft type, is tidy and is pleasing to the eye but may not be technically 100% correct.

Personally, I would not be able to spot any inaccuracies, but im no expert, just appreciate a good looking model :pinkwafer:

Can I ask what this colour scheme this is Alan? My guess would be post war?

Matt

Alan, it looks like a Lincoln so you should be happy! Looks great so far. I think this year I'm going to pick up a conversion myself and have a bash after seeing this :)

No.199 Sqn lost Lincoln WD131 7 miles NW of Bitburg, W Germany.
The aircraft Collided with a F-86D (52-3933) of 496th FIS USAF at night and crashed.
The US fighter pilot escaped by parachute, but the six crew on the Lincoln lost their lives.
The Lincoln had flown from RAF Hemswell, Lincs.
The crew were Flying Officer H.S. Honour, Flt. Sgt. R.V. Jarvis, Sgt G.V. Weller, Sgt. R.W. Walters, Sgt. G.W. Overton and Sgt. I. Jones

I didn't know this when I chose WD131. The reasons I chose her was: she had no guns; no top turret; no randome; and, I had the decals to make up the
squadron code. May her crew rest in peace.

Well, she is as finished as I can get her. Thanks very much guys for your support and it has been a superb GB. :yahoo: :worship:

See I said it would be done within the deadline  well done Alan on a super conversion, that looks the business. Like also how you included the history behind the aircraft.
