Can someone recommend me a kit ? looking to build another for the GB , I'm not really sure what's available out there.
Must be 1/48 , British , jet powered , preferably from the 50's , 60's or 70's and reasonably priced...

Andy

After spending £60 at the fleet air arm model show today, one of the models I bought was the PM models Sea fury! Would this be applicable to this GB?

Most definitely mate.

Brilliant, I shall start a build thread once I have finished my 1/72 Mig-29!

Thirteen builds in the gallery, well done guys.

There's just over a month left so I'm hoping for more threads started and builds completed.

As soon as I claim some bench space left I'll take a look at my Sea Fury. Should be able to start it at the weekend.

Managed to source a RN Phantom kit :)
Hoping it turns up sometime this week so I can get cracking on it and finished before the deadline.

Well as a GB this one has been largely outside the scope of my builds, but I have to say the quality and scope of builds in the gallery thread is VERY impressive. Hats off to all that have contributed, it's quite a showcase for the talent here!

Just 13 days left with most of the threads showing finished.

You guys will soon be unable to focus on building stuff with all the festive cheer that wil no doubt be happening.

Just 2 days to go everyone. The GB finishes 12 o'clock midnight on the 31/12/13.

As mentioned before there will be prizes although I haven't decided categories yet. The judges will be my wife, my son and my daughter, so be prepared all of you
as one of the categories may end up being "The Prettiest Build"!

I'm about to add the decals to the F4U-4B so that should be done by evening. Hopefully i'll get a second done by the deadline. I'll add ordnance to them at some point in the future.

The results of the family vote are in and are as follows:

Runners up are FTS with his Snakebite Corsair and Globemaster with his wonderful Growler dio.

But, voted by all 3 as the best (I suspect this is due to RIAT lat year) is Funkygib's Osprey.

Well done to you all, pm me your addresses and I'll post a kit out to you.
