Revell 1:72 Spad XIIIC ++FINISHED++

Post by Deacon »

I hope you don't mind guys but I am making this kit as part of another GB and then suddenly realized I could add it here.

Ignore the Airfix Bulldog this will be just the Spad thread.

Looking nice so far. Good move doing that rigging before the top wing is in the way.

Thanks Ken. :smile:

Another update with the top wing on and rigging sorted. I have gone back to my usual method of rigging rather than the EZ line system.

I struggled with several things using EZ line mate. Capillary action would drawer the line along the strut so when pulled taught it would not pull across from the base of the strut, but part way up it.

I also struggled to get the glue to hold the line, even when using kicker and found it took several attempts to complete just one line.

Finally a little niggle is the scale thickness of the EZ line.

These are all personal issues and modellers, such as yourself, achieve great results, it's just not for me. :smile:

Fair enough. Good answer. I was kind of worried that you'd found a major flaw with it that I hadn't discovered yet. :lol:

That's a cracking little build you've got there, and the wood effect you've created on the prop really does add that little bit more to it! Fantastic.
