I did a bit of maths on the whole thing.

1024x768 is 1.634 times 800x600..
Which means to jump up to 1024x768 from 800x600 and retain the same image quality would mean that 250kb would be multiplied by 1.634 and would come out at roughly 410kb. I think 300kb is hard to achieve, sometimes I need to save for web at 60% to get it.

Just an opinion.

250KB was almost twice as much as anyone should have needed for a picture at 800px. I've had no problems getting mine to fit the new 300KB limit.

It is not hard to keep an image below 300kb even at 1024. It also has little effect on the quality of the image.

The weather wasn't good, but it's sharp and I love the action. I took it on board the Brazilian carrier São Paulo in 2002. The Argentinian Turbo Tracker misses the cables, which comes as a surprise to the flightdeck man.

I keep coming back to this shot which I absolutely love. It was taken on the Saturday of the 'RIAT that never was' and means so much to me probably because I was so miserable at the time about RIAT being canned, and capturing this cheered me up a lot! I had to stand in the middle of the road to get it, but it was definitely worthwhile:

Here's my favorite for this year.....technically not the best due to the low light levels and struggling with the Bigma but it was my first time "up the hill" at the Bwlch. Nothing beats it in my opinion....I need to get back up there!!
