On display at the South Australian Aviation museum this Spitfire MkVc is on long
term loan by Langdon Badger and his family. On 28 August 1943 it had a landing
accident on Kiriwina Island and was transported back to Goodenough Island.
Langdon Badger found the aircraft in 1971 and had it shipped to Adelaide in 1973
where he restored her over a number of years.

This machine may be one of the more authentically restored static Spitfires in
existance. While not airworthy she is authentic and complete with all instruments
and controls, the inhibited engine is zero timed a part from the Rolls Royce factory
run.

A couple I've seen recently at the Indian Air Force Museum situated at Palmar Air Base adjoining Delhi International airport.

A recent arrival at the museum, I understand that they are hoping to restore this Mk XIII to airworthiness  .
