They should still be flying!
One of the most dubious political decisions of modern times.
Yes they were labour intensive,but what else could do what that aeroplane could? JSF/F-35 is still a long way off. :wall:

R.I.P Flt Lt.Bill Auckland and big bro Mike.You are still sorely missed and fond memories will last forever..................

The recently posted GR3 thread got me thinking about Harriers. Man, oh, man do I miss them in British skies... and man, oh, man am I pleased I caught 5 Italian ones arriving at TLP in January!

Well, this afternoon I was going through some photos I might and should delete on the hard drive but came across these consecutive shots dated 22nd June 2010.

For some reason I quite like the second shot as it kind of puts the Harrier (as flown, reasonably close!) in low level context, I think?! :smile:
