Northolt Night Photoshoots 2009-2011

Post by Graf Zeppelin »

Next month will see the third anniversary of the first Northolt Night Photoshoot. With our tenth due to be held in March 2012 I thought it would be an opportune moment to ask those on the UKAR forum who have supported the events to post their favourite images. Over to you Ladies (yes we do have female attendees!) and Gentlemen. Merry Christmas from Lee and myself and all of those who help behind the scenes at Northolt
Cheers Phil

Difficult choice trying to pick favourite images from the last 3 years so I'll post a few from the very first Northolt Night Shoot on the 29th January 2009 for those who weren't there. Checking the exif info, it would appear I had the camera on AUTO but again it was only my second ever night shoot having been to my first at Coventry the December before.

I always look forward to these events. Phil and his team do us proud. The aircraft, the people and not forgetting the bacon butties.
It's a great pleasure to take part.
Well done and a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all involved.

Ok, on a technicality, this wasn't a nightshoot as such, but was taken at the nightshoot after the arrivals day for the 2009 Families Day with invited guests - possibly the longest day's aircraft shooting I've ever done....

+1. Bar Legends, I don't think there's another event that I'll attend regardless of what aircraft turn up - They're well worth the 400-odd mile round trip and the very late night!

I think all the previous photos tell us what we need to know and I may sort out a couple of mine later but suffice to say where have those 3 years gone?
I'm proud to say that I've done all ten too and It's not just about the photos tho', its about the organisation  , the friends, the increase in confidence :worship: due to the great photographers on here who give us their tips and advice. I know for one my results have dramatically improved thanks to them.

So Happy Birthday Northolt and remember, you'll often be imitated but never equalled!!

Happy Christmas to Phil and his loyal team and all those who support him.

Just thought? Anyone have any experience in maybe producing a book on the past 3 years comprising photos of the events and maybe the June ones too? I'm sure it would be a good seller?

Like the others have said, great idea for a thread, Phil. Merry Christmas to you and all the team at Northolt, and hope you all have a very Happy New Year. Thanks so much to you all for your hard work on the Nightshoots - you've developed an event that is a great pleasure and privilege to attend.

All the best for 2012,

Anthony.

I'm trying to refresh my memory on the dates of the nightshoots, it all goes a little blurry before Nightshoot V. Has anyone got any dates for 1, II, and III please and what the 'highlight' was so at least I know where I'm looking...It's old age you know..
Thanks.

NNS-2 19th March 2009
Fly Navy 100 7th May 2009
NNS-IV 3rd December 2009
NNS-V 25th March 2010

Hope that helps!

Merry Christmas!
