Some great stuff in this thread, but very few notable people haven't posted, most disappointed! Thanks to all those who have!

Just out of interest can anyone recommend any books on the history of the Hercules?

TonyO squeaked:

I think there must be something wrong with your eyesight or else you were wearing dark glasses... And that comment doesn't make much sense. Why should you be disappointed when very few notable people haven't posted? That means most of them have posted, doesn't it?

TonyO also said:
'Dreamy Sleepy Nightie Snoozy Snooze'

I also think you should spend less time watching Father Ted...

Would have put three up from 1970, but am unable to get Photobucket to open and - unlike some people - I haven't got all day........... Sorry...

See you next week, 'arry...

With more than 1,600 transparencies of C-130s, it's impossible to know where to start, but here are three from me - all of which should really be in Golden Oldies, as they all date to about 1969-70...

First up, a C-130A-II at Rhein-Main most likely about to depart on another intelligence-gathering mission...

Image

HC-130H of the 67th ARRS at Woodbridge on a glorious summer's day...

Image

RAF Hercules C.1 XV211 at Wiesbaden in the original sand and spinach colour scheme... Dunno why spinach - never could work that one out...
