Gilze Rijen in The Netherlands is famous for its approach. The eastern end of the runway starts only metres from the road. The signs read: 'Danger. Low flying aircraft. No stopping. Pedestrians keep walking.'

One of my all time favourite aircraft, so I've decided to bump it! Scanned, taken in 2000.

Thought I'd chip in, then realised how few Hercules shots I have.

Charlotte based North Carolina ANG C-130H 31563 on finals to Charlotte Douglas in some very hot air. I don't know what the flo orange numbers are for, but they have a 7 and a 9?

Savannah based Georgia ANG C-130H 00332 departing Charlotte Douglas. I wasn't expecting it, and as I was set for jets froze the props.

Ex New York ANG ski equipped C-130D 70493 now retired to Pima Air Museum. Looks a bit odd with the 3 blade props
