If I find anything out, I'll let you know, but being around 11 hours behind you, it'll probably have landed by the time you lead my message!

Just seen on RAAF Facebook page, so no doubt you already have the info guys

Look to the sky Melbourne!

As a prelude to the Australian International Airshow, at 11:50am today, one of our C-27J Spartan aircraft will fly over Phillip Island, then towards Mornington and along the Port Phillip Bay shoreline, flying via Frankston and Chelsea.

On reaching Melbourne, the aircraft will orbit over the CBD between 12:15-12:30pm then fly over Laverton and Avalon Airport before proceeding towards Geelong (12:30pm) and Torquay (12:35pm), before eventually landing at Avalon Airport.

The Air Force Roulettes will also conduct a flypast of Geelong at approximately 12:30pm.

Please note that these activities may be delayed or cancelled at short notice. For full details visit: http://bit.ly/1awxQkz

Just a quick heads up, "Aussie 303" A36-001 is over Northern tip of Southern Island at 37,000ft and descending, might be a unknown visitor?

That's a RAAF BBJ, maybe they want to check out the Airbus sales pitch for the A400M?

That's a though, there had been stories on the net that the RAAF (like the RAF) C-130J fleet were shagged out quicker than expected between ops in Middle East and Afghan.

EDIT:
The A400M is due to visit Avalon, unless plans might have changed?

A couple of King Airs went down from Ohakea while it was there, so probably just bringing over people that rate a nicer ride than the C-17!

Some really nice shots there Norm, just makes me wish I was down there enjoying the show

Can either of you confirm that the entire RAN squirrel fleet is either now in the process of being retired or are operations slowly winding down ready for hand over to the EC-135? Thanks

I'm looking forward to getting the serials (wait until the end if easier, Darkstar) and keep posting more photos Norman, I'm really looking forward to seeing your evening/ night shots from Friday night Norman
