Rhyl Seafront 2012

Rhyl Seafront 2012

Postby kc10 on Sat 21 Jul 2012, 11:52 pm

Thought i would take a trip up to Rhyl today as its only hour and half away. I managed to miss the red arrows due to various reasons  ( especially road closures... thanks chester council for your invisible diversion signs! :wall: ).
This was my 2 and a half year old daughters first show and she seemed to enjoy herself, start them young i say!
The kingair went tech in the afternoon. The hawk was on the display list but never showed  , but nobody said anything about its absence.

Not in the order of appearence.

This was suprisingly nimble.

I found the light quite tricky today and the limitations of my camera are starting to become apparent now, but i'm quite happy with the results.

Please be honest with any comments i need all the help i can get!

Thanks for looking

The Hawk did display, I think its slot must have been brought forward from what was published on the website.

Going by the exif data on my pictures I have it starting its display at 13:48, it was tagged onto the end of the first section for some reason.

Believe the Hawk was out of slot due to the fact it was based at Manston and ran foul of the Olympics Zone - heard that the Control for that area were to busy to transit the Hawk at the time requested.

I had just gone to the pub for lunch when I heard the Hawk go into its act, but as said, no mention was made of the change, and I was really looking forward to the King Air. However on the whole it was a good mix. Did the KC-135 do its flypast/ display on Sunday? It may lead to a flypast or two from some F-15E's next year???......
