Flying Legends 2009 - Update with Sunday photos

Post by AndyBeau »

Good evening all,

Been a while since I've posted any photos due to a busy season! I thought I'd start with Friday before Legends.

In between Leuchars on Thursday and Yeovilton on Saturday, the weather at home in Bedfordshire was too tempting not to make the trip over to Duxford. So here are some shots from that sunny afternoon:

Andy, 11 is a stunner, nice composition there! I went to Duxford (outside) on the Sunday, I was surprised how much I enjoyed it, the Skyraiders were something else! Did you get any of the Skyraiders? P51 line is smart aswell, you have an eye for a well thought out composition.

Great looking shots Andy, the FW 190 looks great in that light.

Must admit to being rather confused as to what happend to the "Old Crow " Mustang on the Sunday.
She was in the line-up of Mustangs in the static for part of the morning, then we saw her being towed away, never to be seen again that day, what was that all about?

It’s a minor miracle that we didn’t bump into each other that day (I guess we just save it for RIAT!!)

Rather partial to the Old Crow / Pink Lady shots

See ya soon mate.

Had an engine problem when it arrived on the Thursday before Legends. Engine was stripped and 'Old Crow' finally left Duxford last Friday.
