Some shots from this past weekend's 'Wings over Camarillo' airshow, some 45 miles outside LA.
The ex-TFC Tigercat, flown by Clay Lacy
Skip Holm's 'Bear 360' sportplane
Not something you'd expect to see in California
NH749 soon to receive a new engine
Bob DeFord's replica Allison-engined Spitfire
Clay Lacy flying his Turbo Porter - without a doubt my favourite display of the weekend, culminating in several deadstick circuits and landing.
Cirrus VK-30
Bruce Dickenson's Howard DGA-based racer from Santa Paula
Locally-produced Turbo Stallion prototype
T-6 converted to resemble an NA-50
This locally-based P-51 'Pecos Bill' doesn't come out much
Clay Lacy's Van Nuys-based DC-3 in United colours
The US Army's latest helicopter, the UH-72A Lakota (Eurocopter EC145)

Yes, both P-38s are Chino-based. Did i mention that I like P-38s? ?

It's one of the three that were 'reconstructed' in Russia in the '90s for David Price, based on wrecks recovered from Pacific islands. This was the first one done, so contains the highest proportion of original parts of the three. It is powered by an R-1830 from a DC-3.

Gorgeous, all of 'em! Not sure about the Allison Spitfire though, just doesn't look right to me. Love that scheme on the Corsair, too.
