NAS El Centro Air Show 2011

Postby seahawks7757 on Tue 15 Mar 2011, 11:31 pm

Well the 2011 Air Show season is now upon us with the Blue Angels launching off in El Centro and the Thunderbirds this coming weekend at Luke AFB in Arizona. I managed to get Saturday off from work and was able to fly down and attend the show! Special thanks to Opi from Viper West for the great hospitality after the show and to the F-18 pilot that was nice enough to take me out on the flight line to get some shots of him with his aircraft after his flight. There are many more shots still to come but these are a few that I have managed to get done to this point, I hope you enjoy them as much as I did taking them!

The Blues doing a Break on top of the moon! Wish it was a little more in focus though but I will take it over nothing-

And like I said there will definitely be more to come!

Nice shots . Love the last one of the Blues. What lens did you have on for that as i had a 400 and they look a million miles away as they passed the moon?

That shot was taken with the 100-400 and I was at about 260MM when I took the shot.

Lovely shots!! That moon shot is really fantastic!

The only thing I don't like, is the big name in the photo. But that's just my taste..
The photo's are still very good.

Best regards Rob.

First off thank you for the compliment. If I can be honest with you I hate having to put it there. But in this day and age it is the only way to really protect your work if you want to share it

Here is another that I just posted-
