Well I thought I'd drop in a reply seeing as you've had lots of views - great set of shots indeed...
I'm currently packing gear ready for the drive up on Thursday ready for the arrival of the two aircraft I'm working with for the show. :heyhey:

Can't wait to see those Korean's for the first time, they do look rather good

Thanks hunter :) They were very graceful which makes a vast contrast to last years Thunderbirds. Looking forward to seeing their display though. There seems to be a real buzz about Waddington this year. Arrivals proper should be really good.

Nice to see the first arrivals, was the King Air coming for the airshow or just at Waddo on the "day job" ?

Really nice set - I like the Saudi Herc close up as it crosses the threshold. I noticed that bump on the top of the nose - not seen one of these before.

Amazing that you got a wave from the Saudi's.

With RIAT coming up I think that the Red Sparrows have got competition with the rarities of the Koreans, Saudi's and the Emirati teams.

I was behind the bloke stood on his roof in front of the Wedgetail by one row of cars so my view was blocked when I told my friend that Provost seems low on approach

Your picture confirmed it  He was wobbling in the wind a bit today

Hi Guys, new to forum & Lincoln area, but keen aircraft spotter! Great photography. Live in Nettleham on the inbound flight path to Waddington so have had the pleasure over the last few days seeing various aircraft arriving and practicing. Very impressed with Korean Black Eagles, and the graphics/markings look good. Still not the Red Arrows though are they! Regularly have the Reds overhead and a lone Typhoon regularly spotted enroute to Waddington. Weather forecast mixed today, sun rain & cloud so not the best! Tomorrow's even worse, but I'll be enroute to the South of France! Similar weather last few days so must have frustrated the pilots with their practicing. Hope to be down on the A15 viewing area today to catch up with a couple of friends who will be there. Right under the flight path is where it's at!! Too far away within the base to get the taste of high octane fuel, the smell, immense noise and thrill of having something scream in over you just feet away! Enjoy. Lee

Forgot to say, lucky enough to have an 1hr 15mins flight in a Jet Provost for my 40th a few years ago, great experience. Syndicate based at Newcastle airport, costs about £500, worth every penny. Very hands on, have done a little light aircraft flying and the JP in comparison was so stable, easy to manouvre, a joy to fly. Flew over to the Lake District, went fairly low to get a sense of speed, all relative, wasn't a Typhoon but still got a great thrill. Did a few stunts so had a huge grin when disembarking! Will do it agin one day, or go for something even faster! Have a look at www.newcastlejetprovost.net Plan to go for my private pilots license one day, so if you have a light aircraft and live/fly near Lincoln, be pleased to hear from you!
