DanB @ RIAT 2012 Sunday

Post by LN Strike Eagle »

Another airshow, another disappointing day out with the camera. No slight on the show, which was terrific - I'm just not doing very well this year with my photos.

A handful from Fairford yesterday:

A bit self-critical I would say - very nice set of pictures!

Photographs look sharp and interesting to me! The weather looks a vast improvement over the Friday and Saturday that I attended - the worst days. Still, the show was great itself this year! Look forward to 2013!

Those Atlas shots are very nice indeed.
Sorry we didn't get a chance to meet up.

That Phantom close up is gorgeous!

A really top rate set mate.

I got hold of a copy of "Aviation Photogpraphy" at Florennes (a number of UKAR members wrote chapters in it), it is full of tips and techniques. I've incorporated them into my weeks photography and I'm more than happy with the results!

If you do want to look at improving (doesn't look like you need to tbh) I would recommend it.

The Phantom shot is excellent. Really like the A400 shots too, great set.

I'll have to give that "Aviation Photogpraphy" a look

Here you go, it was being sold for €30 at Florennes.

A great set of images, I take it you cannot get the book in the UK?

Thanks for the link. I think it will have to be a purchase in the near future

I like no 5, brilliant angle and great contrast. Black and white works really well on your shots, nowt wrong with them!

You've got very nice set there. But #9 #14 and #20 would be on my top list. Plus I'm jealous of the "E II R", which didn't happen on Saturday, when I was there. I think next year I'll go for one of the MACH packages :heyhey:
