Duxford - now how do I change settings on my camera?

Post by Jonesy »

It's been eight months since I've picked up a camera partly due to losing interest in the hobby but the line up at Duxford coupled with good weather and even better company in the form of Shaggie and Tony O made me dust of the cameras and venture out. The Nikon has always been a complicated beast for me having been a Canon man for years so it took a while for me to get familiar with it again.

Anyhow, here's some shots from the first CF card that I've looked at. Apologies if the colours look odd but it's the first bit of editing I've done in a long time.

No apologies required here, some very nice images. That P40F topside in my opinion is spot on.

Nice ones mate, but where are the C-47's which I'm sure you went for?

No real decent photograph as it wasn't a very spectacular display. I'm not complaining as I was 'freeloading' in the field plus kudos to Duxford for getting two C-47's.

Interesting thing about those two C-47s... I don't know if the painted identities are authentic but 42-100882 and 42-100884 perfectly sandwich 42-100883, which used to be stationed at Bentwaters with the 81st TFW an awfully long time ago. I remember seeing it - marked as 0-00883 - at an Armed Forces Day open house in the early 1960s... May 1963, to be precise...
I am not a loony... I used to be, but I think I am better now...
