Hi,

Just returned this weekend from an Icecold France.
The coldest La Ferté Alais Airshow ever!

The images have made the trip worthwhile.

Just lucky the Sunny spells came in time.
The whole day it was cloudy.

I guess I was at the right time at the right spot.

Nice photos. love the 1st one.

Was all booked to travel to this show a couple of years back but had a car crash 2 weeks before hand so never made it. Must look into going next year as the UK is not looking attractive any more from all the reports of distances etc. Will make the call after legends and the IAT.
Cheers

Tnx Eirik,

La Ferté Alais is a very nice airshow. Not so big, but they have a always a good combination of rare and unique airplanes.

The distance to the grass runway is very short, so everyone is able to make nice pictures.

I would say give this show a try

I sure would give this show a try.

Distance to the grass runway is very short.

They have often rare airplanes flying in the show.

I attent also to the Legends and RIAT this year. Hope all the new rules will not affect the airshow to much.

Lets wait and see.

It is actually a T-6, modified as a NA-68, and then used to represent a French Hellcat in the Dien Bien Phu movie, about the Indochina war in the 50's.

Brilliants shots, clearly the flying is very close. I love the water bomber shots in particular (they look absolutely stunning in their schemes) and the Yak-11 shot.

Flying is very close indeed. Although not a very big airshow, they have every year nice surprises.
