Farnborough Airshow - Tuesday

Post by Disaster Area »

After a hectic few days at RIAT and the British Grand Prix it was time to pay the bi-annual visit to Farnborough. after Mondays wash-out I wasn't sure what to expect but the staff on the site had done an amazing job overnight preparing the site for the following day. They were still working during the day moving chalets etc around from soft ground onto hard standings. Fortunately, although it did rain, it was nothing like the downpours experienced the day before. I don't generally photograph the static as it tends to be quite well packed and this year was no exception so I concentrated on what was happening on the runway after having a look around the exhibition.

Firstly a pre-display arrival!

Airbus kicked things off(after the UAV's) but for some reason the A380 didn't fly, the A350 and A400 made an appearance - more pics to follow

After the Airbus's came a variety of aircraft ranging from the DART450(Tucano like trainer) through to the Super Hornet

Boeing brought the flying display to a climax with a good variety of aircraft, beginning with the 787-9
