With the summer of 2016 is now fading in the memory I thought I would share some of my shots from RIAT with you all. Although its a shadow of its former self RIAT is still for me the best show in Europe, and event I look forward to each year and which I thoroughly enjoy with good aircraft and good company. The weather wasnt the greatest this year, with an awful lot of grey and white about on the show days in particular, but there were glimpses of blue, and plenty of vapour around at times too. Enjoy........

A nice reminder from what now seems a long time ago. Lots of quality as per usual - particularly as the light was rather a challenge at times! Numbers 40 and 46 stand out for me. Great angles.
Nice to get a final set of nice Ramex shots. We'll certainly miss them.

Interesting how peoples perspectives differ on favourite shots, I like 40 but am not too bothered by 46, my favourite of the bunch is 1, and for some reason I like 48 too

Liked these Andy, 46 caught my eye for the right reasons
Re: Sweet 16, having a RIAT good time
Great shots zigzag. I'm still working through mine, first RIAT I've done with my 7dmk 2 and was feeling quite happy with my shots until I saw yours! What kit you using? I'm guessing you have got something with more reach than my 100-400?

You're not wrong! You're posts are far more 'artistic' than mine will ever be. Maybe I just put my camera down and you keep snapping!!
I rarely post anything creative. Mind you, here's one you might recognise!

Thanks for the kind words, equipment wise I use a Nikon D7100 with either a Nikon 300mm F4 or a 200-500mm zoom. The zoom was new for this season and although the sharpness is slightly down on the prime it does give a bit of extra reach which I thought (and was proved correct) woudl be needed for the 2016 season. For flying shots Im happy with either lens and use them as distnace dictates. Probably the main ingriedient in getting a decent shot is to get your position sorted, which may mean a bit of work sussing things out at previous events, I rarely go somewhere for the first time and find Im in the correct location.
Dr, lovely shot and theres a reason why there isnt a similar one in my set, I made a bit of hash of the exposure on that one
